Job summary

Steelhaus Technologies Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide skilled labor across facilities.

You will perform maintenance to manufacturer specs and safety guidelines to ensure equipment operates as intended. Responsibilities include troubleshooting buildings, equipment, and systems; preventative maintenance; reading diagrams; using diagnostic tools; and coordinating repairs with service providers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED and 3-5 years equivalent directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred).
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program
• Formal training or 2+ years of ventilation system maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems under 3000psi
• Experience with air compressors, and compressed air systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings (e.g., blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams etc.)
• Exhibit good time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow throughout the day.
• Strong verbal and written English language communication skills.
• 'Hands‑on self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to lift, up to 23 kg (50lbs)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs to buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and general plumbing maintenance.
• Operate and schedule repairs with facility management.
• Read diagrams, schematics, reports, and manuals.
• Use maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
• Identify hazards and comply with safety policies.
