The Maintenance Technician works within a multidisciplinary team to perform basic maintenance, and repairs related to various Cool Aid buildings, suites, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Technician ensures that Society properties are properly maintained and conducts routine inspections. The Maintenance Technician position involves working closely with clients in occupied and unoccupied rooms, as well as common areas, often working alone.
Qualifications
Education
- Grade 10, plus related vocational training such as a building maintenance course.
Experience
- Two (2) years recent related experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Requirements
- Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
- Class 5 drivers’ license and clean driving record.
Job Information
- Hourly Wage Rate: $29.17 - $33.49
- Work Location: Various.
- Work Days: Monday to Thursday and Sunday.
- Shift Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm.
- Total Weekly Hours: 37.5.
- Union: BCGEU.
