Job summary

SHW AG, Brampton site, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems, production machinery, and control equipment. The role includes troubleshooting Siemens S7 PLCs, reading schematics, calibrating equipment, and assisting PLC programming.

The ideal candidate has a college diploma in electro-mechanical tech and 1–2 years of automotive experience, with the ability to work rotating day, afternoon, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years automotive experience (OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier II).
• College diploma as electro-mechanical technician.
• Experience troubleshooting Siemens S7 PLC logic (GRAPH, SCL/STL, LAD, FBD).
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems, production machinery, and control equipment.
• Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical components including motors, panels, circuits, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems, including PLCs (Siemens), HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Install and calibrate electrical and electronic equipment per specifications and work orders.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and troubleshoot documentation.
• Assist in PLC programming and control system adjustments to support maintenance activities.
• Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts and recommend stock levels.

To strengthen our team at our Brampton, Ontario location,we are looking for a Maintenance Technician. This role is on rotatingshifts (day, afternoon, night).

Job Description:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance onindustrial electrical systems, production machinery, and control equipment

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years automotive experience,OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II
• College diploma as electro-mechanical technician
• Have a demonstrated experience in previouselectro-mechanical area
• Able to read and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLClogic (GRAPH, SCL/STL, LAD, FBD)
• Excellent communication skills dealing withinternal departments, equipment suppliers and other 3rd party service providers
• Experienced with MS Office and Maintenancesoftware
• Ability to work a flexible schedule if required
• Able to read electric, hydraulic and pneumaticcircuit diagrams
• Ability to attain C.Tech or C.E.T. certification
• Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001as well as ability to write procedures and work instructions is an asset
