What to Expect

Joining our maintenance team, your role will be to supervise the team of mechanics and electrotechnicians, ensuring high-quality work and effective management. You will participate in continuous improvement practices and prioritize tasks to minimize production downtime while maintaining employee health and safety.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Maintenance, your main responsibilities will include:

• Supervising, guiding, and motivating team members, fostering communication and trust
• Managing human resources, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
• Promoting a healthy work environment through dialogue, conflict resolution, and employee well-being initiatives
• Ensuring effective communication between maintenance, other departments, and management to resolve technical issues proactively
• Reinforcing safety practices to maintain a safe working environment
• Providing technical support and guidance to your team in maintenance tasks
• Ensuring compliance with collective agreements, regulations, and internal procedures
• Participating in optimizing maintenance processes to reduce downtime
• Assisting in developing the maintenance budget and managing related costs

What We Are Looking For

• DEP or DEC in industrial maintenance, mechanics, electrotechnics, or related field with 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience
• At least 5 years of team management experience, preferably in a unionized environment
• Ability to remain calm in complex situations
• Autonomy and initiative
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent human management skills: active listening, conflict management, talent development
• Effective communication and team influence skills
• Experience in an industrial environment is a plus
• Knowledge of Guide Ti maintenance software is a plus
