Job summary

Northern Employment Solutions Inc is seeking a supervisor for a surface mill maintenance role at a gold mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. You will supervise the maintenance crew to ensure safe, on-time work with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include leading mill and paste plant upkeep, conducting daily safety meetings, and signing off SAP/S4 Hana work orders while coordinating with other departments to schedule tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in surface/mill environments.
• Experience in supervisory/leadership roles.
• Knowledge of mill maintenance processes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise surface mill maintenance crew to ensure safe, timely work with minimal downtime.
• Lead daily safety/communication meetings with crew.
• Coordinate all mechanical mill and paste plant maintenance and projects.
• Review and sign off work orders in SAP/S4 Hana.
• Plan and schedule maintenance work with other departments.
• Ensure crew training and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Assist in updating programs, procedures, parts, and systems.
• All other duties as assigned.

Your Contribution:

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mill Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting client’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Supervise and coordinate the surface mill maintenance crew to ensure work is performed correctly, safely and on time with minimal impact on mine productivity
• Hold daily safety/communication meetings with crew
• Lead and coordinate all mechanical mill and paste plant equipment maintenance and projects
• Support and direct lead hands in crew line ups
• Ensure crews are trained to work in a safe, productive, and environmentally sound manner
• Inspect work to identify training needs
• Supervise and manage performance in step with set KPI’s, including planned and responsive maintenance and shutdowns
• Motivate and instruct all crew members when possible
• Review and sign off work-orders in SAP/S4 Hana
• Communicate with other department personnel to plan and schedule maintenance work
• Assist in revising programs, procedures, parts, systems, etc
• All other duties as may be assigned

What You Need To Succeed:

• Supervisor Common Core Modules (Surface), Mill Common Core Modules
• 5 or more years of experience in surface/mill environment preferred
• Experience in supervisory/leadership role preferred

Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Gold Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
