Job summary

Kruger Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill in Corner Brook, NL.

This role leads a team of mechanical trades and drives day‑to‑day maintenance execution to ensure equipment availability and reliability in a safety‑conscious environment. The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering or a related field (or Red Seal), 5+ years in a supervisory maintenance role, and strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in engineering/engineering technology or related field, or Red Seal in a relevant trade.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance or manufacturing.
• Experience in a pulp and paper environment is an asset.
• Preventative and predictive maintenance background is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; able to motivate a team.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required.

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all maintenance activities in the mill. This position supervises members of mechanical trades.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to and promote company safety and environmental policies.
• Coach the maintenance team on leadership values and work assignments.
• Ensure equipment availability and reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Participate in team problem solving activities to address operating area issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation of work history in support of the Maintenance Management System.
• Support measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must have:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related discipline, or a Red Seal in a relevant trade.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a Pulp and Paper environment is considered an asset.
• Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Technology background is an asset.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong analytical and problem solving ability, and solid project management skills are essential
• The successful candidate must be able to work evening and weekends when required.

The Successful Candidate will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment.

This position will be located in Corner Brook, NL.
