Job description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee shift maintenance operations and supervise hourly maintenance employees.
• Maximize utilization of workers, equipment, and materials in alignment with cost and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and coordinate with vendors for repair items or parts.
• Direct and guide tradespeople to meet production and maintenance objectives.
• Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support programs related to safety, facility maintenance, grounds, and equipment installations.
• Communicate effectively within a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Administer the Collective Agreement and enforce company policies, including employee discipline when required.

Requirements:

• Valid 433A (Millwright) or 442A (Electrician) license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing facility.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of ERP, CMMS, and MRP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adaptability to evolving technology and equipment environments.
• Degree in Industrial Relations or related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Able to work in night shift.
