Job summary

Porter Airlines is seeking a Coordinator, Maintenance Planning to assist in the daily planning of maintenance for Porter Airlines Aircraft. The role is based in Toronto and involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure aircraft availability and timely execution of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include forecasting, creating work packages, coordinating with inventory, and contributing to long-range planning.

Qualifications

  • AMOS/RAAS experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working within an Aircraft planning department required.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and the ability to make decisions under pressure and within a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills are required.
  • Display a sound understanding of aircraft documentation, technical records and aircraft scheduling.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.

Job Summary

The Coordinator, Maintenance Planning will assist in the daily planning of maintenance to Porter Airlines Aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Daily maintenance planning including, but not limited to:
    • Short term forecasting for all aircraft maintenance tasks
    • Creation of work packages at all of Porters overnight maintenance bases
    • Creation of larger work packages for Porters daytime maintenance bases
    • Coordinate with inventory control on work packages to ensure that all parts and equipment are available for the planned work
    • Long range planning for major components
    • Review of overnight completed tasks and Non Planned Cards raised and resolve issues
    • Communication with Operational Planning Team, MOC and SOCC to ensure aircraft availability
    • Communication with all other Technical Operation departments to discuss planning decisions and requests
  • Work alongside the Heavy Maintenance Planning team to ensure work completion as required
  • Work alongside the Engineering team to control the issuing and completion of modifications on the fleet
  • Work alongside the Reliability team to ensure recommended tasks are issued as required and communicate task completion.
  • Assist, when required
    • the entering of all completed maintenance tasks including component changes
    • Filing and storage of all technical records (eg Journey log pages and task cards)
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned
