Tolko Industries in High Prairie, AB, seeks a Maintenance Planner to drive reliable operations at our OSB mill. You will build and manage routine and extended outage maintenance plans, coordinate outages, and ensure tooling, staff, and materials are ready to keep the plant running smoothly.

  • Relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience building comprehensive job plans and work packages.
  • Coordination experience for maintenance outages (minor and major).
  • Experience building work schedules to optimize maintenance in a 24/7 operation.
  • Understanding stores/spare parts management and resource planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance and CMMS.
  • Experience creating, revising, and maintaining Bills of Material.
  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams.

  • Efficiently manage both major and minor maintenance outages.
  • Ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to support trades personnel for safe, timely completion.

Job description

As an experienced Maintenance Planner, you willhelp drive operational excellence by coordinating priorities, optimizing resources, and keeping critical work on track. We’re looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press making us one of the most modern mills in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
  • A strong technical background, gained through relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience building comprehensive job plans and work packages.
  • Coordination experience for maintenance outages (both minor and major).
  • Experience building work schedules to optimize maintenance opportunities in a 24/7 operation.
  • MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) Certification or Maintenance Planning Certificate considered an asset.
  • Understanding stores/spare parts management processes and know how to utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.
  • In-depth understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices, along with advanced skills in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience creating, revising, and maintaining Bills of Material.
  • Ability to work with a team of planners and effectively collaborate across functional teams.

  • You'll earn an additional northern allowance on top of your base pay.
