  • Strong technical background in maintenance concepts and practices.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance outages (minor and major).
  • Experience building work schedules to optimize maintenance in 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to partner with multiple departments to deliver excellent service.
  • Understanding stores/spare parts management and planning for future needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build routine and extended outage maintenance plans to keep the mill running reliably.
  • Efficiently manage major and minor maintenance outages.
  • Ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place for trades personnel to complete planned maintenance safely and quickly.
  • Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Plannerto join our High Prairie OSB Division, located inHigh Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone anexciting major rebuildand modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press making us one of the mostmodern mills in North America. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Astrong technical background, gained through relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience buildingcomprehensive job plansand work packages.
  • Coordination experience for maintenance outages(both minor and major).
  • Experiencebuilding work schedules to optimize maintenance opportunitiesin a 24/7 operation.
  • MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) Certification or Maintenance Planning Certificate considered an asset.
  • Understandingstores/spare parts management processesand know how to utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.
  • In-depth understanding ofpreventative and predictivemaintenancepractices, along with advanced skills inComputerized Maintenance Management Systems(CMMS).
  • Experiencecreating, revising, and maintaining Bills of Material.
  • Ability towork with a team of planners and effectively collaborate across functional teams.
