Qualifications

Job Description and Responsibilities

Join EVRAZ North America's Calgary team as a Maintenance Planner and play a pivotal role in optimizing our operational efficiency. As a key contributor to our maintenance team, you will apply your strong maintenance planning skills to develop plans for inspections and carry out predictive and preventive maintenance for assigned assets.

  • Utilize Reliability Centered Maintenance approach to develop inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance programs for assigned assets
  • Discover & communicate Maintenance opportunities
  • Prepare, monitor and evaluate the results from equipment inspections.
  • Establish equipment criticality and technical status
  • Define and optimize spare part levels for assigned assets
  • Develop plans and coordinate maintenance activities for changeovers, maintenance downturns, major plant shutdowns and maintenance related capital expenditure projects and upgrades
  • Manage effectively external resources assigned to specific maintenance activities
  • Maintain and upgrade facility infrastructure & utilities on a regular Basis
  • Prioritize documentation and ensure compliance
  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators and Metrics for assigned assets
  • Manage and maintain documentation
  • Work closely with manufacturing / machine shops and communicate required information effectively to get parts / equipment repaired to standard

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Journeyman Millwright preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong history of utilizing CMMS systems
  • Possess project planning skills
  • Working knowledge of equipment technologies, limitations, and their effect on safety, quality, productivity and cost
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively with hourly and management ranks
  • The means to work with interdepartmental teams at all levels of management
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics
