MAINTENANCE MILLWRIGHT
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for performing routine and extensive maintenance on all machinery and equipment, including forklifts. Maintenance Millwrights look after day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance needs of the Ontario facilities, ensuring that the equipment is in safe operating condition.
Principal Accountabilities
- Troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems related to production equipment.
- Performs repairs and adjustments on equipment as required.
- Reads electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic plans and diagrams.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment.
- Maintains building and work area in a clean, uncluttered and safe condition.
- Puts in place patches to reduce downtime related to failures.
- Performs welding work on production equipment.
- Reports any equipment issues to the respective Manager.
- Complies with and follows Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislative standards.
- Measures equipment performance to identify areas for improvement.
Education And Knowledge
- Licensed Industrial Mechanic 433A (Millwright)
- 5+ years of experience in a product manufacturing or industrial setting
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and machine components.
- Hands-on experience repairing and completing preventative maintenance on different types of equipment.
- Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated interest in learning and applying new mechanical and electrical skills.
- Works in a fast-paced environment independently and with cross-functional team members, with limited supervision.
- Efficient, reliable with attention to detail. All work is completed with care to ensure quality.
