Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment is required.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical assemblies.

About the role

To improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, and equipment access. Plan and schedule work to maintain the designed reliability of equipment and ensure or extend the life expectancy of equipment aiding in the total reduction of maintenance cost and increased output of product. Support maintenance, reliability and facility activities enabling site operations to perform with best-in-class efficiencies in total compliance with all safety, company and regulatory requirements. Work with a “safety first” attitude.

Responsibilities

  1. Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
  2. Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
  3. Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  4. Inspect parts for surface defects.
  5. Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
  6. Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  7. Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies, or systems to meet operational specifications or tolerances.
  8. Oversee the installation of equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
  9. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  10. Monitor information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
  11. Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  12. Read electrical circuit diagrams.
  13. Requisition material and supplies from stockroom; call vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies and recommend purchases and suppliers.
  14. Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
  15. Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions.
  16. Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs.
  17. Label wires and components in accordance with electrical schematics.
  18. Confer with engineers, maintenance personnel, fabricators, etc. to resolve installation or assembly problems.
  19. Select appropriate conduit and seal-tite to make connections between electrical control cabinet and external components.
  20. Select appropriately sized wire used between external components to electrical control box.
  21. Perform all work procedures in accordance with safety standards.
  22. Perform all work procedures according to the established quality assurance standards required by Company Quality Manual.
  23. Ensure compliance with all electrical code requirements (including NFPA 70, NFPA 79 and other standards) as required.
  24. Plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, and document work tasks.
  25. Create and document SOP’s, OPL’s, and detailed work order descriptions.
  26. Knowledge of CMMS systems.
  27. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

About you

  1. 3 or more years of proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment is required.
  2. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  3. Detail-oriented.
  4. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  5. Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  6. Ability to troubleshoot and take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  7. Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  8. Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance.
  9. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  10. Professional presentation and attitude.
