Summary of Primary Functions: Assist the Maintenance Mechanics to learn the skills of a Class A Maintenance Mechanic. Tasks include performing activities of lesser skills independently, such as tuning up automobiles, general building maintenance, and replacing worn-out parts. Also involves working alongside trained mechanics to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees must follow safety and quality rules to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality production.
Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose issues.
Dismantle and reassemble machines as needed.
Replace broken or worn parts; order replacements if necessary.
Make adjustments for proper operation.
Maintain building structures and equipment, including plumbing, motors, painting, etc.
Repair, rebuild, or overhaul engines, including replacing parts and adjusting components.
Overhaul transmissions, and repair fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
Assist other Maintenance Mechanics as needed.
Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.
Job Specifications or Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
