Summary of Primary Functions: Assist the Maintenance Mechanics to learn the skills of a Class A Maintenance Mechanic. Tasks include performing activities of lesser skills independently, such as tuning up automobiles, general building maintenance, and replacing worn-out parts. Also involves working alongside trained mechanics to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees must follow safety and quality rules to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality production.

  • Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose issues.

  • Dismantle and reassemble machines as needed.

  • Replace broken or worn parts; order replacements if necessary.

  • Make adjustments for proper operation.

  • Maintain building structures and equipment, including plumbing, motors, painting, etc.

  • Repair, rebuild, or overhaul engines, including replacing parts and adjusting components.

  • Overhaul transmissions, and repair fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.

  • Assist other Maintenance Mechanics as needed.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.


Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
