Maintenance, Licensed Millwright (433A)
Reports to the Maintenance Manager. Responsible for completing repairs, routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of filling machines, pasteurizing process systems, packaging systems, and conveyors common to a dairy operation. Hands‑on execution on the floor and shop rebuilding and repair.
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Off Sunday and Monday.
Salary: Licensed Probationary Rate (90 working days) – $44.02/hr; Licensed Top Rate – $46.34/hr. 75¢ premium per hour plus shift premiums. Tool allowance $830.

Contributions that matter
- Carry out equipment modifications and complete equipment overhauls as required.
- Complete preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production efficiencies.
- Own stock room management and order parts for routine and preventive maintenance.
- Communicate with team to secure replacement parts and minimize machine downtime.
- Collaborate with other trades to repair breakdowns, complete projects, and provide training to plant staff.
- Document and maintain all appropriate records including CMMS downtime recording.
- Follow GMPs and work consistently with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
- Ensure work is performed safely in accordance with OH&S, WSIB, and company policies.
- Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
- Must hold a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification and provide a Skilled Trades Ontario Red Seal Certification of Qualification and/or an Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement Certificate.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting and equipment repairs; knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding experience is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year related to food industry, preferably dairy, or high‑speed process equipment or packaging.
- Experience with electromechanical preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of high‑speed automated packaging equipment.
- TIG and Arc welding with strong fabrication ability (asset).
- Ability to work in a highly automated environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and manuals.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.

- Dependable with good attendance and safety record.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to support all shifts (days, afternoons, weekends, overtime, on‑call).
