Job summary

Bimbo Canada is seeking a Maintenance Inventory & Purchaser Specialist (Contract) to oversee parts, tools, and materials for the Maintenance Department in a Scarborough, ON food manufacturing environment.

You will ensure accurate inventory levels, timely replenishment, and compliance with safety and quality regulations while collaborating with maintenance teams and external vendors to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Professional training or relevant post secondary education.
• 2-3 years experience in a maintenance planning department.
• Exposure to Oracle and MS Office is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of maintenance spare parts, inventory, consumables and services.
• Manage spare parts inventory to minimize cycle count deficiencies.
• Follow-up on delinquent purchase orders with suppliers and research alternate parts.
• Provide monthly reports on inventory value, cycle counts and adjustments.
• Develop PM programs and predictive PMs for equipment performance.
• Estimate time and costs for maintenance projects and ensure resources are available before work starts.
