Job summary

Bwalk in Calgary is seeking a maintenance technician to support resident safety and comfort. The role involves on-call emergency maintenance, completing preventive inspections, and coordinating turnover inspections with the Customer Care Team.

You will handle maintenance requests, carry out repairs on suites and common areas, and assist other sites as needed. Applicants should have at least 2 years of maintenance service experience; 3 years renovation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years maintenance service experience required.
• 3 years renovation experience an asset.
• Working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with technology is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Resident Members.
• Address Maintenance Requests within 72 hours.
• Perform on-call emergency maintenance.
• Vacant suite maintenance and touch ups per established quality standards.

Job description

This position has an alternating on call schedule required. The average starting pay is around $24-25 an hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Resident Members
• Address Maintenance Requests within 72 hours

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2 years maintenance service experience required
• 3 years renovation experience an asset

Technical Requirements:

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Ensure to have all tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
