Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Vista Gardens in NE Calgary to ensure the health, comfort and safety of Resident Members. You will handle maintenance requests, perform on-call emergencies, and support turnover suites per quality standards.

Minimum 2 years of maintenance service experience is required. 3 years renovation experience is a plus, and English proficiency is essential for effective communication with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, comfort, and safety of Resident Members.
• Address maintenance requests within 72 hours.
• Perform on-call emergency maintenance.
• Maintain vacant suites and touch-ups per established quality standards.
• Oversee general building maintenance and common areas.
• Coordinate turnover inspections with Customer Care Team.
• Support preventative maintenance inspections and reporting.
• Assist with snow removal and other site needs.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure work quality.

Do you have experience in building maintenance and renovations? To ensure our Resident Members’ peace of mind, we are looking for a talented candidate to address all maintenance requests and emergencies. Location

• Vista Gardens (NE Calgary)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Resident Members
• Address Maintenance Requests within 72 hours
• Perform on-call emergency maintenance
• Vacant suite maintenance and touch ups per established quality standards
• General common area and building maintenance
• Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with Customer Care Team
• Preventative Maintenance inspections and reporting
• Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards
• Assist with snow removal
• Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required

Experience And Educational Requirements

• 2 years maintenance service experience required
• 3 years renovation experience an asset

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements

• Ensure to have all tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness
