Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Engineering/Science Co-op student in Ashcroft, BC, for a full-time January–August 2027 assignment. You’ll work with the Plant Maintenance team, shadow skilled trades, and help optimize PM and PdM activities while contributing to CMMS tasks.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with drawings, equipment maintenance, and project support, collaborating with a reliability engineer and Millwrights in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate post-secondary engineering program.
• Committed to health and safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to read and interpret drawings; proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks is an asset.
• Critical thinking skills and high degree of organization.
• Troubleshooting capabilities; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the Plant Maintenance team with a CMMS.
• Shadow Millwrights and Journeymen to create maintenance SOPs/SWIs.
• Assist in reviewing PM and PdM activities and refine tasks.
• Assist spare parts optimization for PM/PdM tasks.
• Support project management, tendering, planning, installation, supervision, commissioning.
• Assist in drawings and modeling for projects.
• Collaborate with Millwrights to standardize PM templates and update drawings.
• Contribute to other engineering projects for plant operations and maintenance.
