Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB site.

What You Will Do:

1. You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you, and your colleagues go home safe every day.
2. As a maintenance team member, your primary role will be to support production operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various electrical systems and equipment.
3. Ensure the operation of company equipment, including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control devices.
4. Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting, and scheduled equipment inspections, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures.
5. Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence.
6. Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures, including environmental regulations.
7. Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes.
8. Team members will be required to work with the maintenance supervisor, coordinator and planner on work queues, work orders and projects. Help organize and plan work, including seasonal shutdowns.
9. Assist maintenance team members with their daily work tasks as needed.
10. Assist production team members with their daily work tasks as needed.
11. Perform overtime hours, including weekend work, as required during seasonal peaks.
12. Scheduled on-call coverage required during seasonal peaks.
13. Various other duties as required by the needs of the business.

Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Alberta Electrical Journeyman certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Electrical Journeyman certificate

Requirements- What you will have or will provide:

1. An attitude of curiosity. Willing to be mentored and willing to mentor professional skills as applicable to daily tasks.
2. Rotating day and evening shifts.
3. Valid Class “5” driver’s license required and able to obtain a driver's abstract.
4. Industrial electrical maintenance work experience
5. Knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing, installing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical panels and equipment up to 600V are required.
6. Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC are required.
7. Knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing MCPs, ICPs, fire and securing systems, and communications systems are required.
8. You possess working knowledge of and are willing and able to interpret the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
9. An understanding of PLC automation (Allen Bradly) and ladder logic is an asset.
10. General knowledge and some experience troubleshooting mechanical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC are required.
11. Adapt easily to changes in plans and effectively triage multiple trouble calls.
12. You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, and work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
13. You are comfortable with technology, possess good computer aptitude, and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required.
14. Experience using an electronic maintenance module such as SAP R3 is an asset.
15. Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work involving repetitive motion and/or lifting.
16. You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
17. You maintain an organized workplace and have excellent critical thinking skills.
