Field Equipment Support - HVAC Technician

Join us as a Field Equipment Support - HVAC Technician at Mikisew Group.

Position Overview

MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems on mine support equipment such as shovels, dozers, and haul trucks. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.

Schedule & Location

14 days on, 14 days off, working 11.50 hours per day under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA). The position is based at the Kearl Lake facility, north of Fort McMurray, AB. It is a field role with a Fly In/Fly Out setup, providing camp accommodations. Flights are arranged from Edmonton or Calgary hubs to the site, with employees responsible for travel to and from these hubs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing HVAC systems on mine support equipment
• First Aid Certification
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems on equipment like D-11, 797, shovels, etc.
• Replace or repair defective parts
• Perform routine maintenance for system efficiency
• Maintain accurate service records
