Job summary

Johnson Electric Group in Ancaster, ON, is seeking a Millwright / Electrical Co-op Student for a 12-month term. The role focuses on maintenance support, documentation, and process improvement within a global motion systems company.

As a co-op student, you will work with the maintenance team, assist with electrical schematics, PLC/HMI programming, and continuous improvement initiatives while pursuing a technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing technical degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar co-op considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Independent and self-motivated with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Johnson Electric policies in all activities.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and production operators to document, standardize and improve processes.
• Create and update the PM system and documentation for new and existing assembly lines.
• Create and update electrical schematics for new and current projects.
• Provide PLC and HMI programming support with automation technicians.
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and related duties as required.
