Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Canada is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep residents' living spaces safe, clean, and well functioning. You will handle routine maintenance tasks, perform basic repairs, and support preventative and safety programs across the community.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite "make-ready" preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
