Chartwell Retirement Residences in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Aide to keep our residence, equipment, and grounds safe, functional, and welcoming for residents. You’ll work closely with staff to ensure a comfortable living environment.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, assist with painting and carpentry, respond to requests, and help prepare suites for new residents while following safety rules.

Formación

• Secondary school education or equivalent experience.
• Experience in maintenance and safe tool use.
• Ability to work with residents, staff and vendors.

• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and report issues as needed.
• Prepare suites for new residents, including small repairs and painting.

• Keep supplies organized and follow all health, safety, and infection control rules.

As Maintenance Aide at Chartwell, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residence, equipment, and grounds meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your hands‑on skills and problem‑solving ability will help create a comfortable, worry‑free home for our residents, while supporting the smooth operation of the community.

What You’ll Do

• Help with regular maintenance tasks and keep records up to date

What You’ll Bring

• Secondary school education or equivalent experience
• Previous maintenance experience and ability to use equipment safely
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with staff, residents, and vendors
• Organized and able to keep work areas safe, clean, and efficient
• Committed to providing excellent customer service

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform frequent physical duties including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting tools or equipment
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
