Job summary

Sobkow Technologies Inc. is seeking a Plumber/Handyman to maintain 9 apartment complexes (300+ units) and several commercial properties in Brandon, Manitoba.

The role requires the ability to work alone or with others and to prioritize tasks effectively. You will troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, operate drain cleaning equipment, and perform related handyman tasks such as drywall, painting, carpentry, fixtures installation, and light flooring.

Qualifications

• Experience with all plumbing issues and drain cleaning.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing problems.
• Handyman tasks: drywall, painting, carpentry, fixtures installation.
• Occasional on-call coverage during illness/holidays.
• Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 9 apartment complexes and several commercial properties.
• Work independently or with a team as needed.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Identify required maintenance without explicit instructions.
• Full-time schedule with 8-hour shifts, starting at 8am.

Job description

• - Plumber/handyman to join the team to maintain the property at 9 apartment complexes(300+ apartments) and several commercial properties
• - Ability to be able to work alone and with others
• - Ability to prioritize the order that work needs to be done in
• - Ability to recognize maintenance work that needs to be done without having to be told what to do
• - Full time Monday-Friday 8hr shifts starting at 8am

QUALIFICATIONS:

• - Must have a valid drivers license and your own vehicle(compensation given)
• - Must be proficient with all plumbing issues
• - Must be able to operate a variety of drain cleaning machines to unclog drains and toilets
• - Must be able to trouble shoot and repair any plumbing issues
• - Must be able to complete other handyman tasks such as but not limited to drywalling, painting, wall repairs, cupboard repairs, trim work, carpentry skills, installing light fixtures, rangehoods and A/C?s, knowledge and ability to install flooring would be an asset
• - Must be available to cover call occasionally during illness and holidays of our regular on-call worker
