Job summary

Northwood-Collection in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a skilled handyman to support our maintenance department. You will perform upkeep, minor repairs, plumbing and electrical tasks, and respond to client maintenance requests.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role, strong problem-solving, and solid technical knowledge; must live in Toronto GTA and be authorized to work. This is an on-site role requiring physical stamina and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar handyman role.
• Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hardware tools and power equipment.
• Extremely organized with good communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting and filling crevices, cleaning facilities, and managing repairs.
• Repair company machinery, equipment, or appliances.
• Detect and report major maintenance needs.
• Regularly check community spaces for issues with litter, mechanical failures or breakdowns.
• Respond to maintenance requests from clients promptly and professionally.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
• Maintain outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks.
• Oversee sprinkler systems and trash containers on premises.
