Job summary

VDart Inc. in Mississauga, ON is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with IBM Mainframe expertise to design, develop and maintain batch and online applications on-site.

You will work with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and JCL, analyze requirements, implement changes, and support production issues in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have AI/GenAI familiarity and strong debugging skills; position is onsite at Mississauga with opportunities to impact critical systems.

Qualifications

• Analyze business requirements and perform impact analysis.
• Design, develop, test and maintain Mainframe applications.

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in IBM Mainframe technologies The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements developing and maintaining batch and online applications supporting production issues and delivering high quality solutions in a fast paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and perform impact analysis
• Design develops test and maintain Mainframe applications
• Develop and enhance programs using COBOL CICS DB2 VSAM and JCL
• Create and maintain batch jobs procedures and utilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and application defects
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
