Job summary

The Louis Riel School Division is seeking a Bus Driver for a term position to safely transport and supervise students to and from school or events. This role supports the division's strategic plan and requires a strong safety focus and reliable judgment.

Qualified applicants will have a 60-hour bus driver training program, Class II licence, School Bus Driver’s Certificate, CPR, and first-aid credentials. Bilingual English-French is an asset and prior supervising experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 60-hour School Bus Driver Training Program.
• Hold a Class II Driver’s Licence and a School Bus Driver’s Certificate.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or assets.
• Experience in supervising children and handling safety-critical tasks.
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and supervise Division students to and from school or events.
• Comply with divisional policies and guidelines and maintain safety at all times.
• Support the strategic actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

COMMENCING: As soon as can be arranged to November 07, 2026, or one day prior to the return of the incumbent whichever occurs first COMPENSATION: Payband 7 $31.46 to $32.59JOB SUMMARY:This position requires the incumbent to safely transport and supervise Division students to and from school or other events.This position supports the strategic actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Completion of School Division Bus Driver Training Program (a total of 60 hours). Eight hours in-service each year.
• Class II Driver’s Licence
• School Bus Driver’s Certificate.
• CPR Certificate.
• Completion of Respect In School or equivalent training is required.
• Five years practical driving experience.
• Six to twelve months experience as a probationary Bus Driver
• Previous experience in supervising children.
• Ability to work under little supervision and demonstrate good problem-solving skills and judgment.
• First Aid Certificate an asset.
• Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
