Job summary

MAGINOT SHOPS in Manitoba is hiring a Bus Driver (Term) to safely transport and supervise Division students to and from school or events. The position supports the division's strategic goals and requires the driver to meet a 60-hour training program and hold the appropriate licences and certificates.

The term extends from as soon as arranged to June 30, 2027, or until the incumbent returns, with payband 7 at $31.46 to $32.59 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of School Division Bus Driver Training Program (60 hours), with 8 hours in-service each year.
• Five years practical driving experience.
• Six to twelve months experience as a probationary Bus Driver.
• Previous experience supervising children.
• Ability to work with little supervision and demonstrate good problem-solving skills and judgment.
• Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires the incumbent to safely transport and supervise Division students to and from school or other events. This position supports the strategic actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

• Completion of School Division Bus Driver Training Program (a total of 60 hours). Eight hours in-service each year.


• Class II Driver's Licence


• School Bus Driver's Certificate.


• CPR Certificate.


• Completion of Respect In School or equivalent training is required.


• Five years practical driving experience.


• Six to twelve months experience as a probationary Bus Driver


• Previous experience in supervising children.


• Ability to work under little supervision and demonstrate good problem-solving skills and judgment.


• First Aid Certificate an asset.


• Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
