Job summary

Dumas Contracting Inc. in Timmins is seeking a MacLean Bolter Operator to install ground support in underground development headings, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will operate the MacLean Bolter, perform pre-operational checks, and coordinate with supervisors to meet production targets. The role requires two years of underground mining Bolter experience and the Ontario Common Core certification, with rotation 14/14 and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating a MacLean Bolter in underground mining.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate MacLean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support (rock bolts, mesh, screen) in development headings according to the mine plan.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
