Job summary

Dumas Contracting Ltd. is seeking a MacLean Bolter Operator to safely install ground support in underground development headings near Timmins, Ontario.

You will operate MacLean bolting equipment, perform pre-operational checks, and work with your crew to meet production targets while following site safety protocols. Minimum 2 years of underground bolter experience is required; Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification is preferred.

Position: Maclean Bolter Operator.

Company: Dumas Contracting Ltd.

Work Location/Project: Near Timmins, Ontario.

Rotation: Dependent on Project Site – 5/2, 7/7, 14/14.

Shift: Dependent on Project Site – 10.5HRs, 11HRs, 12HRs.

Wage: $39.00/HR & Overtime + Potential for discretionary performance-based bonuses.

Employment Terms: Permanent Full-Time.

Language of Work: English.

About the Role:

As a MacLean Bolter Operator with Dumas, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of MacLean bolting equipment to install ground support in underground development headings. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of the mine.

• Operate MacLean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support (rock bolts, mesh, screen) in development headings according to the mine plan.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a MacLean Bolter in an underground mining environment, required.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification, preferred.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments, required.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices, required.
