Job summary

Renn Mill Center LP, a division of Degelman, is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our expanding team in Alberta. The successful candidate will set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts.

Requirements include at least 2 years machining experience, strong blueprint reading and measurement skills, and preferably Journeyman Machinist certification. Work hours are 10 hours/day, Monday-Thursday, with weekend 3 days off.

Qualifications

• Secondary education completed.
• At least 2 years machining experience.
• Journeyman Machinist certification preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
• Experience with CNC programming is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow company’s safety program, policies, procedures and practices.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members.
• Perform other related tasks required.

Employment Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school education is required.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years machining experience is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
• Experience with CNC programming (an asset).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Working Hours:

10 hours/day, 40 hours/week; 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, Monday-Thursday; 3 days off on weekends
