EPH Tools & Machining Ltd. in Ontario is seeking a General Machinist to join our team. No license required; on-the-job training will help you grow your machining skills. Starting wage is $24–$27 per hour, with a market adjustment after probation.

You will work with lathes, mills and welders, read basic drawings, and learn precision machining in a collaborative, safety‑minded environment that values quality and steady, year‑round work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machining or manufacturing is an asset but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machine tools (lathes, mills, welders).
• Read and interpret basic drawings, Gigs and instructions.
• Assist in machining parts to required specifications and tolerances.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check work.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and follow safety procedures.
• Work with senior machinists to learn advanced techniques and best practices.
• Perform weld fitment of bending components
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Position Overview

We are looking for a General Machinist to join our team. The right candidate does not need to be licensed but should bring mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn. We will provide on-the-job training to help the successful candidate grow their skills and succeed in the role. Starting Range $24-$27/hour with market adjustment after probationary period.
