Prodomax Automation Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a Machinist to join our team across Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels. The role involves reading drawings, setting up lathes and mills, and building special‑purpose machinery with skilled hands and reliable teamwork.

Qualified candidates have an Apprenticeship for Machinist and a 429A certificate, 1–5 years of experience, and familiarity with ACU-RITE/N.C. milling and HAAS controls.

• Completion of an apprenticeship program for Machinist and holds a General Machinist 429A Certificate of Qualification
• Minimum 1-3 years direct working experience
• Set up, program and operate ACU-RITE NC knee milling machines is an asset
• HAAS CNC set up and operation is an asset
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, disciplined approach to work
• Ability to work well as a member of a team
• Ability to travel and work overtime
• Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and determine work/repair procedures
• Set up and operate to prescribed tolerances on lathes, mills, surface grinders, and saws

Prodomax Automation Ltd. is currently seeking a MACHINIST to join our team. Located in Barrie, Ontario, Prodomax is a specialized industrial engineering firm focused on designing complex automation with a blue-chip customer base since 1971. Operating from two facilities totaling 200,000 square feet with 200+ employees; we are ISO 9001:2015 certified. The Opportunity The Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing components in a machine shop environment and will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Your level within the role will be determined by the skills and experience you bring when taking on this exciting career opportunity. Responsibilities are noted as you progress within the role. Junior: Job Responsibilities:
