The Machine Shop Student Helper supports the manufacturing team with material handling, shop upkeep, documentation, and job preparation. This is an entry-level, hands-on role for anyone interested in the machining trade. No experience is required, as full training will be provided, including training to operate our CNC machines.
You will be trained on shop machinery, including CNC machine operation, under the supervision of experienced staff. As your skills develop, you'll take on more responsibility on the machines, with opportunities for wage increases/promotions. This is a great starting point for anyone considering a career as a machinist.
This position is based in a manufacturing shop and involves exposure to machinery, tools, and materials. Safety training and PPE will be provided.
$20-$23/h
Part-time/Full time. Shifts are available on weekdays (mornings, afternoons, and evenings) and weekends.
