Job summary

Randstad Canada in Gravenhurst, Ontario is hiring for 2 Machine Operators to join our local manufacturing team. The role involves setting up and operating extrusion machinery, performing changeovers and quality inspections to maintain high standards.

Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a good attendance record. Starting pay is $19 per hour with a $2.20 shift premium, rising to $21.20 once on shift, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating extrusion machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform visual and quality inspections.
• Basic paperwork and reading measurements or tape measures.
• Grade 12 or higher; strong attendance; team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality of the extruded product, and it’s packaging.
• Perform necessary pre‑operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Housekeeping and sanitation.

Once trained Pay rate $21.20 • start iright away Monday to Friday days 7:45 AM -7:45 PM (continental shift starting , straight day or night shift).

• Starting pay of $19 and shift premium $2.20 then once on shift pay rate will be $21.20 with opportunity for growth

Qualifications

• Proven history of good attendance
• Strong desire for personal advancement and the willingness to achieve by learning our manufacturing systems and reporting as scheduled with an upbeat team player mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Grade 12 an asset
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical competency
• Ability to perform simple math, and take measurements (understand how to read a tape measure)
• Capable of reading and understanding work instructions and safety documents
