Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring two Machine Operators in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Start at $19/hr with a $2.20 shift premium, increasing to $21.20/hr after training. Shifts run Monday–Friday days. You will set up, operate and troubleshoot extrusion machinery, perform quality inspections, and maintain safe operations.

Ideal candidates have attendance history, a strong work ethic, and basic math and measurement skills. Local role with growth opportunities and benefits upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality of extruded product and packaging.

• Ensure proper startup and continuous production with minimal downtime.

Details

Once trained Pay rate $21.20 start iright away Monday to Friday days 7:45 AM -7:45 PM (continental shift starting , straight day or night shift).

• Starting pay of $19 and shift premium $2.20 then once on shift pay rate will be $21.20 with opportunity for growth
• Experience setting up & operating extrusion machinery; Set-ups, Changeovers, Adjustments, Mechanical Aptitude; Ability to Troubleshoot; Visual & Quality Inspections, Basic Paperwork
• Work locally in the heart of Muskoka

Pay rate $21.20

Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality of the extruded product, and it’s packaging
• Experience setting up & operating extrusion machinery; Set-ups, Changeovers, Adjustments, Mechanical Aptitude; Ability to Troubleshoot; Visual & Quality Inspections, Basic Paperwork
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Housekeeping and sanitation

Qualifications

• Proven history of good attendance
• Strong desire for personal advancement and the willingness to achieve by learning our manufacturing systems and reporting as scheduled with an upbeat team player mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Grade 12 an asset
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical competency
• Ability to perform simple math, and take measurements (understand how to read a tape measure)
• Capable of reading and understanding work instructions and safety documents
