Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Machine Operator for our Toronto branch. You will handle daily shipping and receiving of machines and attachments from customers and suppliers, contributing to safe yard operations and efficient inventory flow.

The role includes fueling machines, operating in varied temperatures, and collaborating with a small team to ensure timely delivery and installation support across Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Forklift license and material handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean yard space by picking up items and organizing attachment area.
• Fuel all machines with fuel and DEF fluid as required.
• Perform majority of material handling duties in the yard (stands, attachments).
• Assist in inventory counts on a periodic basis.
• Help track missing or misplaced attachment stock using internal systems.
• Interact with customer agents, supplier agents, truck operators and the general public.

Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Machine Operator for our branch in Toronto who will be responsible for the daily task of Shipping and Receiving both machines and attachments from Customers as well as suppliers and the parts department.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$ 40.12

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Maintain a clean yard space by picking up items and organizing attachment area.
• Responsible for fueling all machines with Fuel and DEF Fluid as required.
• Perform the majority of Material Handling duties in the yard such as bringing stands, removing or delivering attachments for install etc.
• Assist in inventory counts on a periodic basis.
• Help to track missing or misplaced attachment stock items by using our internal systems.
• Interact with customer agents, Supplier agents, Truck operators and general members of the public.

Must-haves for this role:

• Heavy Equipment Operating Experience Fork Lift License & Experience Material Handling/Truck Loading Experience.
• Able to work in Hot and Cold environments
• Computer proficiency is required Safe Work practices and Good Safety Record
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to work within a small team
