Job summary

PEI Bag Company in Central Bedeque (PEI) is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate machines, ensure quality, and perform routine maintenance. You will read technical information and complete required paperwork while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires a high school diploma, good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to lift and stand for long periods. Hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM with a $3.00 night shift premium and overtime as needed.

Working within a small collaborative team, theMachine Operator role is critical to ensuring our products meet our highest quality standards and customers’ expectations. This position is responsible for ensuring the equipment is operating efficiently, that materials are aligned properly, and for conducting general repairs as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Setup and operate machines, including a Weber machine.
• Manage equipment adjustments to ensure quality and productivity.
• Follow the specific requirements of the Plant Safety and Quality Program.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read and interpret technical information.
• Follow the Emergency and Bio-Security Procedure requirements.
• Conduct finished product inspections and required paperwork.

Hours

The hours of work for this shift are: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Overtime may be offered or required, to meet operational demands. A full-time night shift premium of $3.00 per hour above the employee’s base rate of pay for permanent night shift employees.
