Ya Ya Foods is seeking a machine operator to monitor and operate packing line equipment, load and palletize finished products, and maintain clean, safe work areas. The role requires standing for long periods, basic troubleshooting, and accurate completion of paperwork.

Ideal candidates will have Grade 12 or equivalent, ability to communicate in English, and familiarity with HACCP. Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse settings is an asset. Accommodations available upon request.

• Ability to learn multiple pieces of operating equipment and basic trouble-shooting techniques.
• Ability to work with and communicate well with others (read, write and speak clearly in English).
• Attention to detail.
• Experience as a machine operator in a food manufacturing or product manufacturing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of HACCP is an asset (training will be provided otherwise).
• Experience in a warehouse environment is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor packing line equipment such as straw applicators, shrink wrappers, case sealer, palletizers, and bar & date coding machines.
• Ensure all supplies stocked and refilled for production.
• Manually load trays of finished products on pallets, prepare stock for palletizing.
• Check conveyors prior to production to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Inspect operating equipment to identify and resolve obstructions to resume operations.
• Alert mechanic if equipment malfunctions and work with them to correct problem.
• Maintain all equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition by following proper cleaning procedures.
• Perform work in safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately, start-up and cleaning checklist, downtime sheets, and quality check sheets.
• Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
• Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
