Job summary

Manpower is seeking Production Operators for its manufacturing team in Brockville, Ontario. The successful candidates will operate production machinery, follow Lean and 5S practices, and aim for target productivity while maintaining safety.

Shifts are 12-hour continental rotations (days and nights). Candidates must have high school diploma, be flexible with rotations, reside in Canada, and meet Controlled Goods Clearance requirements.

Job description

Our Client in Brockville is seeking Production Operators for its Manufacturing team located in Brockville, ON. The successful candidates will make an impact by operating production machinery and equipment throughout the plant, on any of several rotating shift structures, achieving target machine and productivity rates.

Pay Rate: $23.11 an hour

Continental shifts : 12 hours both days and nights rotating

What is the job?
  • Ensure the safe and optimal use of equipment, using established procedures, Lean, and 5S principles to foster improvement and achieve production goals
  • Perform regular Quality checks, and ensure compliance with standards
  • Develop knowledge to troubleshoot plant processes, perform equipment changeovers, as well as minor troubleshooting and repairs as necessary
  • Adjusting to new demands, products, and plant priorities to support business interests
Your Skills and Expertise
  • Completion of High School or equivalent
  • Flexibility for shift rotations
  • Must reside in Canada
  • MUST be able to meet Controlled Goods Clearance requirements (see below)

Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is a mandatory requirement for this position at this location. Please note that the following are some, but not all, of the requirements for Controlled Goods Clearance:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada, or
  • Must be a Permanent Resident, normally residing in Canada
  • Have valid and current identification (ie, driver’s license, passport, birth certificate)
  • Be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years
  • Living outside of Canada during the past five years will require an international criminal name check and will prolong the assessment process
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education
  • Previous PIV (powered Industrial Vehicle) experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results both alone and in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven track record of possessing a pro-active, constructive approach and a high level of focus in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction
  • Above average mechanical/troubleshooting skills
