Job summary

Inventure Engineering & Machinery Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Builder to assemble, test, and troubleshoot custom machinery based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in machine building or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and maintaining measurement accuracy.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and commission custom-built machinery based on drawings and specs.
  • Read blueprints and technical manuals to understand requirements and assembly steps.
  • Fit and assemble components with hand/power tools to meet precise tolerances.
  • Test machinery to ensure proper function and performance; troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve assembly or functionality problems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing equipment as needed.
  • Ensure work meets safety and quality standards; document build processes.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting custom machinery and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in machine building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and commission custom-built machinery and equipment based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Fit and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to meet precise tolerances.
  • Test and troubleshoot machinery to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve any assembly or functionality issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing machinery as required.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Document all build processes and maintain accurate records of modifications.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Machine Builder or in a similar mechanical assembly role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is an asset.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine building or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Diploma or degree in a related technical field is preferred but not required.
