Job summary

The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver is seeking an experienced Hotel Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department at our luxury property. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of all hotel facilities, building systems, and guest room maintenance while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in hospitality.
• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Fire Safety systems and preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of BC building codes and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced luxury environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day repair and maintenance operations.
• Maintain luxury hotel facilities and guest rooms to premium standards.
• Plan and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Coordinate repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and operational issues promptly.
• Conduct routine property inspections and supervise contractors.
• Manage budgets and control operating expenses.
• Promote safety and lead a 24/7 on-call coverage when required.
