Job summary

Fairmont Palliser in Calgary seeks a Food & Beverage Sales Manager to drive sales for Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar. You will engage guests, clients, and colleagues to deliver exceptional service, turning moments into memories as an ambassador for the property.

Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, you will actively seek new business, develop campaigns, coordinate event details, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus, ensuring a memorable Calgary experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years’ experience in hotel sales and event planning.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Tables.
Knowledgeable on food and beverage trends and the luxury hotel market.
Proven ability to plan and execute events with strong attention to detail.
Post-Secondary Hospitality Degree/Diploma.
Excellent customer skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Actively seek out new business opportunities for all venue spaces within Fairmont Palliser.
Coordinate with Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute sales campaigns.
Gather and confirm event details with clients and meet contractual timelines.
Organize information across departments through email, directives, and planning meetings.
Plan creative experiences and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus.
Arrange production elements and logistics including AV, internet, and third-party needs.
Create floor plans to optimize space and guest experience.
Manage event profitability by ensuring food and labor costs are controlled.
