Job summary

RONA in British Columbia is hiring for a Lumberyard Associate to support customers with building materials and outdoor projects. You will help customers find products, load orders, check invoices, and maintain a clean, safe yard.

Join a team focused on customer service, safety, and operational excellence. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 25 pounds, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Provide expert advice on lumber and building materials.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
