Job summary

RONA in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is hiring a Lumberyard Associate to assist customers with building materials and lumber. You’ll provide expert advice, help load products, check invoices, and support daily yard operations to keep the store organized and safe.

The role requires physical ability to lift 25 pounds and a knowledge of building materials is a plus. We value teamwork, safety, and high-quality customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice on lumber and building materials
• Assist customers in loading products safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct products are provided
• Maintain daily upkeep of the department including shelving, stock, and price labeling
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment in the yard
• Handle opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Perform other related tasks to keep store operations running smoothly

Your role:

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
