Job summary

RONA is seeking a lumberyard team member to provide expert advice on lumber and building materials and help customers load products safely. You will help check invoices, maintain stock, and keep the yard organized and safe for everyone.

The role involves opening/closing duties, daily upkeep, and contributing to a positive customer experience. This is a hands-on position ideal for outdoorsy, team-oriented individuals who value community and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
