Job summary

United Lumber Home Hardware Building Ctr in Georgetown, ON is seeking a Full-Time Lumber and Building Supply Sales Associate (Counter Sales). You will help customers in person and over the phone, process orders, and support daily sales and inventory tasks.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills and knowledge of drywall, lumber, insulation, shingles and related products, plus the ability to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.

Location: Georgetown,ON

Position Type: Full‑Time

We are currentlyseeking a Customer‑focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team atour Georgetown location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoysworking with customers, has an interest and knowledge in building materials,and thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Counter SalesAssociate, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer servicewhile supporting daily sales and inventory operations.

Customer Service

• Assist customers in personand over the phone
• Process orders accuratelyand efficiently
• Resolve customer questions,concerns, and complaints
• Follow up to ensure customercommitments are met
• Assist with carry‑outs asneeded

Order Processing & Inventory Support

• Enter in‑store and phoneorders
• Arrange deliveries andsupplier orders
• Maintain accurate inventorylevels and shelf stocking
• Assist with receiving,pricing, and restocking products
• Investigate inventorydiscrepancies

Department & Store Maintenance

• Keep displays organized,well‑signed, and clean
• Maintain safe, clutter‑freeaisles and storage areas
• Assemble products fordisplay when required

Additional Responsibilities

• Propane tank filling(training and certification provided if required)
• Assist with special projectsand general store duties
• Act as an on‑the‑job trainerwhen assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Strong customer service andcommunication skills
• Previous retail, countersales, or building materials experience is an asset
• Product knowledge inbuilding materials such as drywall, lumber, insulation, shingles, plywood,and related products is required
• Ability to work rotatingshifts including evenings and weekends
• Comfortable working bothindoors and outdoors as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry upto 40 lbs regularly
• Standing, walking, bending,reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
• Ladder Climbing
• Working in a warehouse andretail environment

Hours of Work

Varying scheduleincluding evenings and weekends.
