Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions in the GTA is seeking a Store Manager with strong lumber buying experience to lead purchasing and day-to-day operations.

You will manage supplier relationships with major distributors, coach a team, and drive customer service in a growth-focused environment. This priority search targets a start by November/December, with a base salary of $125,000 and a ~10% performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in lumber buying/purchasing in building materials.
• Experience sourcing from major distributors (Dolman, Goodfellow, Stella-Jones).
• Staff management experience including scheduling and coaching.
• Ability to lead a team in a positive workplace culture.
• Preference for Portuguese-speaking candidates.

Responsibilities

• Manage lumber and building materials purchasing with major distributors.
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including openings and closings.
• Lead, schedule, and develop staff while fostering a positive work environment.
• Motivate and retain team members through effective leadership.
• Drive customer service standards across the store.
• Monitor inventory, pricing, and supplier relationships for profitability.
