Optima Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team across Alberta. You will provide high-quality nursing care, support residents with dignity, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve person-centered outcomes.

You will contribute to care plans, maintain documentation, and mentor Health Care Aides while adhering to safety and privacy standards. The role requires flexibility to meet resident needs and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Active licensure to practice as an LPN in Alberta (CRNA/CLHA).
• Experience in residential care or mental health is an asset.
• CPR and First Aid certifications maintained.
• Ability to mentor Health Care Aides and other team members.
• Therapeutic approach to care and strong interprofessional collaboration.
• Good written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Participates in development of resident care plans under the Director of Care or designate.
• Maintains accurate records of resident conditions and health care needs.
• Provides direct nursing care including meds administration and treatments.
• Assists with move-ins/outs, palliative care, and end-of-life care.
• Communicates effectively with the care team, residents and families.
• Assists physicians with examinations and tests when requested.
• Evaluates nursing care effectiveness and reports significant changes.
• Directs and mentors Health Care Aides in procedures and standards.
